Happy New [Recruitment] Year!

AZTF Director - Abigail Huston

We are so excited to be launching our application for our fifth cohort of Fellows!  Since our program originated in 2007, and was originally called Phoenix Teaching Fellows, we have recruited and placed more than 150 new Fellows in more than 85 schools across Arizona.  This means that Fellows have and are making a difference in the lives of thousands of Arizona’s kids.  We try really hard to attract those people who feel like they want to be a part of something big because we are trying to accomplish something big in Arizona which is helping to close the achievement gap by ensuring all kids have a great teacher, regardless of where they live and they school they go to.  Through the years we have expanded across Arizona.  Our first cohort was placed solely in Phoenix classrooms while our 2011 cohort spanned from Phoenix to Yuma to Tucson and Nogales.  We are looking forward to our Fellows teaching in even more locations in the future (possibly the Navaho and Apache nations) and working towards our mission of closing the achievement gap in Arizona.
